GLHS Athletic Hall of Fame - Class of 2026
The 1973 Grand Ledge Varsity Football Team was the first in school history to finish a season 9-0. While the 1941 team managed to go undefeated 32 years earlier, Steve Szasz’s squad had a single tie and a record of 8-0-1. John Krupa’s squad finished the season with no ties, making school history. They would also win their 5th straight league title that year (they would win a 6th straight the following year). No team has won more than 3 straight titles since (‘15,’16,’17).
