The 2022 team went 9-3 winning the 24th conferences title in school history (first in 5 years), winning the 7th district title / regional final appearance, and the 10th season of 9 wins or more (first since 2015). The season had 2 very dramatic conference victories: an offensive shootout during the regular season with DeWitt that saw QB, & future Michigan State Spartan, Shawn Foster, give an offensive performance for the ages (353 yards and 7 TDs rushing); and a defensive playoff battle in the district title game at Holt where a single point was the difference. Grand Ledge put together another incredible offensive performance on the road in the regular season finale to win a share of their 24th league title in a 45-30 showing against East Lansing!
Grand Ledge opened the 2022 playoffs with an all-around dominant performance of 8-1 Brighton whose only regular season loss came to the back-to-back D1 state champs, Belleville. They led 19-0 at half and would go on to win 38-3.
Grand Ledge beats Holt at their place 21-20 to avenge one of their only 2 regular season losses and win their first district title in 7 years!
